Hey! I’m Steve Smith, owner of Irish Realty, and today I’m here to talk about one of my favorite things. . .South Bend! 

Number one! The South Bend Cubs. If you were like me and born in the ’80s when we had the South Bend White Sox; then they left! After that we got the Silver Hawks and you felt jaded. But now we got the Cubs and that ball field is rocking! Especially those fireworks during the summer. 

Number two! The people. I continuously talk to people who are surprised that people here are friendly, wave and ask you how you’re doing. There’s something special about the community that’s here in South Bend, Indiana.

Number Three! Notre Dame. You’ve got to be a fan, right? My parents moved here from Georgia in the 1970’s so my dad could attend the University and they never left. Everybody loves the Irish in this town and we bleed blue and gold.

Number four! The cost of living. South bin is consistently ranked is one of the nation’s most affordable cities to live in.  

Number five! We get to live in the great state of Indiana, but be just 45 minutes from Lake Michigan, 90 minutes to downtown Chicago, 2 hours to downtown Indy. You get the benefits of a small town community with easy access to big city amenities.
